I'm Melissa - an independent artist offering my own exclusive designs on a range of handmade goods!

I’m Melissa Scheu, an independent artist with a passion for fun and functional stationery and writing materials.
As an illustrator, I’m drawn to bringing the world to life with energy and heart. My original pieces start on paper, in a range of traditional media, like watercolor, gouache, and pencil. Pieces are adapted to a range of products that I design myself, and produce by hand.
A life-long journal and sketchbook-keeper, I also appreciate the value of quality writing materials and stationery. When I had difficulty finding small notebooks with the style of paper that I like best, I started experimenting with making my own. Magpie & Pen was born!
MY PRODUCTS
All of my items are produced using giclee prints made with archival quality, pigment-based ink.
From printing to trimming and scoring, I make everything for sale here in my personal studio.
SHOP POLICIES
If you’re not happy, I’m not happy! Please let me know if you have a problem with your order. All claims made within 30 days of sale will be honored with a free replacement in the case of damaged items. If you receive your order and aren’t happy with your items, contact me for a return shipping label. I will refund any undamaged items if your claim is made within 30 days.
Invitations and custom-printed bulk order cannot be returned. However, all bulk custom orders come with a free proof that will be sent to your address for approval before the custom order is finalized and printed.
Orders are shipped out from my location in Michigan twice weekly.
